Virtual Try Room — Privacy Policy

The short version. Your photos and the outfit images Virtual Try Room creates are stored on your device, not on our servers. We keep your email address and your credit balance, nothing more. You can delete everything from inside the app at any time.

What we collect

Your email address — used to sign you in with a 6-digit code. We do not use passwords.
Your credit balance and purchase history — so paid credits survive reinstalling the app.
Basic app analytics and crash reports — via Firebase, to find bugs. These are not tied to your photos.

Your photos

When you generate an outfit, the photo you choose is sent to OpenAI, which analyses it and renders the outfit onto it. This is what makes the feature work, and it is the only place your photo goes. Per OpenAI's API policy, images sent through the API are not used to train their models.

We do not store your photos. The picture you supply and the results Virtual Try Room produces are saved only in the app's own storage on your device. They are not uploaded to our database or our file storage, and we cannot see them.

What we never do

We do not sell, rent or trade your personal information.
We do not share your photos with advertisers or data brokers.
We do not build advertising profiles from your images.

Who processes your data

Google Firebase — sign-in, database, analytics and crash reporting.
OpenAI — outfit generation and image rendering.
Resend — delivering your sign-in code by email.
Apple — in-app purchases. We never see your card details.
Google AdMob — advertising in the free tier.

Deleting your account

Open Profile → Delete Account. After confirming a code sent to your email, we permanently erase your account, your credits, your saved outfits and your sign-in records from our servers, and remove the local data on your device. This cannot be undone, and it is immediate — not a request queued for review.

Your rights

You can ask us what we hold about you, ask for a copy, ask us to correct it, or ask us to erase it. Write to info@blacklayers.ca and we will respond within 30 days.

Children

Virtual Try Room is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their information. If you believe a child has given us data, contact us and we will remove it.

Changes

If this policy changes materially we will update the date above and notify you in the app before the change takes effect.
